Katie did an amazing job of evaluating and designing a routine to help me to recover from my car accident.

For four years I have been plagued by a very limited range of flexibility in my hips and especially my left leg. The pain and limited mobility had worsened over time to the point that even the simplest daily tasks like tying my shoes was very painful. I have been going to massage therapy for a couple years now, but have only received temporary relief and nothing like I’ve experienced after being treated by Katie.

My left IT band and quads, both of my glutes, hip flexors, and inner/outer knee were all so sore and tender. I’m an avid hiker and walker, so this was really ruining my enjoyment.

A friend of mine who had been to Katie referred me, and I’m so glad I took his advice! He had a similar situation and said he was feeling great after a couple visits.

Katie took a lot of time to talk to me on my first visit; she wanted to get a full picture of what I had been dealing with. She paid attention and took lots of notes. Imagine that—a care provider who listens!

Before I got any treatment, she checked my range of motion, had me stretch, and then did some manual massage on a few suspected trigger points in my worst spots, followed by the Theragun applied up and down my legs to loosen the tightest areas.

The SoftWave treatment came next and it was truly like nothing I’ve ever experienced! She found my trigger points, those inflamed hot spots where most of my pain was. I could feel the stimulation deep into my tissues and in places that deep tissue massage couldn’t reach. At the end of the SoftWave treatment, Katie then showed me some reflexology points I could massage to help release tension in my back and hip flexors.

Katie was so thorough, knowledgeable, effective and incredibly easy to talk to that it was a no-brainer for me to set a plan of action for a full treatment plan into motion. Katie offers a unique combination of therapies. She has a background in Physical Therapy, but also offers Red Light therapy and Softwave therapy (my personal interest).  After doing Softwave on my slightly torn meniscus, my knee has improved to the point where I can go up and down a full flight of stairs and that "bad" knee feels the same as my "good" knee.  No difference!  My experience has been so uplifting, I could go on and on about it.  Katie ALWAYS has a sunny disposition and a positive "can-do" attitude. Katie has been great to work with.  I have been dealing with neuropathy for the past 11 years.  Katie provided exercises I can do at home, treated me with software therapy and red light therapy and significantly helped to reduce the pain in my feet.  I have been so pleased with the progress. Katie improved my hamstring pain ten fold. I’ve had annoying post injury pain in hamstring for months. It was a nagging pain that wouldn’t go away. I saw Katie for a few weeks. She used multiple modalities and techniques to reduce my pain. I am now pain free thanks to Katie. I refer anyone who has  physical/functional problems to her. Moving Forward Wellness Center is truly an exceptional place! Our sincere gratitude for Katie's kindness, compassion, and expertise...she is absolutely amazing at what she does!  Our daughter sprained her ankle the day before the first game of her basketball season.  The orthopedic doctor put her in a boot and told us to come back in 3 weeks.  I called Katie and we went the next day.  She used soft wave therapy in addition to showing her how to stretch and strengthen her ankle.  We went back 2 more times that week for additional treatments and exercises.  Our daughter was out of the boot within 3 days, back on the court in 5, and played in her game the following week.  She has wore an ankle brace recommended by Katie for support but has been pain free and has not missed a practice or game the rest of the season. Moving Forward has helped me dramatically.  My doctor said I would need complete shoulder replacement but Katie  has helped me to increase my range of motion and the red light therapy has helped with my inflammation. My recommendation is before  any surgery, go to Moving Forward first.
